Illustrative scenario

Refrigerated freight · South Florida to the North Carolina Piedmont

A recurring lane needed a forecast and a firm order

A fictional educational example, not a completed AMLINEX shipment or customer testimonial.

A Miami-Dade floral wholesaler usually anticipates two northbound shipments each week. Before a seasonal promotion, its customer in the North Carolina Piedmont suggests a third shipment may be needed.

The sales team begins treating that possible shipment as part of the schedule, although its final quantity and pickup date are still unsettled.

The shipping coordinator separates the weekly forecast from confirmed shipment requests. Expected volumes give the prospective carrier useful planning context. Each actual request identifies the freight, timing, product requirements and details still awaiting confirmation.

The customer can now see which shipments are agreed and which remain under discussion. The extra shipment stays in the forecast until its requirements and transportation arrangement are confirmed.
